Terms & Conditions

- A 50% deposit is required in order to confirm an order. By paying the 50% deposit, the customer is agreeing to these terms and conditions which are also linked at the bottom of their invoice.

- These are not perfect made products, they are rustic with twists, knots and markings. By paying the  50% deposit the customer acknowledges and agrees that timber, in particular recycled timber, can vary in colour and finishes, and the colour and finishes of the furniture the customer is purchasing may not match pictures shown to the customer at time of consultation.

- Orders are prioritised in order of deposits received. Once deposit is received orders are placed onto our orders list. We do not add a product to our orders list or start any work on a product until the deposit is received.

- Products generally have a lead time of 8-12 weeks unless otherwise specified and this lead time doesn't begin until we begin production. Whilst this might seem like a long time remember the customer is getting a one-of-a-kind, handmade product.

- On order confirmation we will be able to give the customer an estimated start date. Once production is commenced customers receive progress images to keep them up to date with their order progress.

- The balance is payable prior to collection or dispatch. Furniture remains the property of Recycled Creations SA until final payment has been received.

- Once an order is complete it is to be collected/delivered within two weeks. If within two weeks the customer has not responded or organised collection/delivery, the customer will incur a storage charge. Storage charge varies depending on size of product or order.

- Our invoices are roughly based around different pictures discussed at time of consultation. These orders are never built exactly as per the pictures as designs vary due to availability and type of pallet timber.

- By confirming an order the customer acknowledges and agrees that it is their responsibility to maintain the product (e.g. cleaning and condition) to avoid discolouration and minimise wear and tear. If products waterproofed, we recommend to re-coat every six months. If a natural timber product is ordered this means it is supplied unfinished and will need to be finished - painted, stained or otherwise sealed.

- Timber is a natural product that is greatly affected by changes in moisture. This change in moisture will cause the timber to warp, crack or in some cases rot. Unprotected timber can physically deteriorate if exposed to extremes of atmospheric change over time. Therefore, natural timber ordered products should be painted, stained, or otherwise sealed to help protect them from changes in moisture - regardless of whether they are being used inside or outside.

- Pallet timber can warp, and Recycled Creations SA are not responsible if this occurs. Warp means the cupping or twisting of timber. It can be caused by a few factors, but generally warp is caused by improper storage of adverse moisture conditions. Using dark or varying paint colours can also cause warping. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the finishing advice in these terms and conditions are adhered to. Recycled Creations SA does not accept responsibility for warp when warping is caused after purchase. If excessive warping occurs, seek advice promptly to solve the problem.

- Recycled Creations SA does not accept responsibility for any damage or warping which occurs if products are modified or tampered with after purchase.

- As each piece furniture from Recycled Creations SA has been hand crafted to the customers specific size and finish, an order may or may not be altered or changed depending on how fair it has progressed in production. Once the customers order has been confirmed and proceeded to production, any request for changes must be sent in writing. Recycled Creations SA will do their best to assist in helping with changes but cannot guarantee that changes can be made. Changes to custom made furniture will incur an alteration fee.

- Once a customers order has been confirmed by receiving the deposit any cancellation request must be sent in writing. As each furniture piece is handcrafted to the customers specific finish choices, cancellation will incur the deposit charge dependent on the status of production and how far the order has progressed.

- As all Recycled Creations SA furniture is made to order to the customers specifications in terms of size and finish, Recycled Creations SA can not offer returns or refunds due to change of mind or due to colour variation in timber or grain variation or appearance of naturally occuring knots in the timber or any other variations due to timber being a natural product.

- Recycled Creations SA warrants that the furniture will be free from defects, in good working order and fit for the prupose for which that type of furniture is commonly supplied. Reyclced Creations SA takes no responsibility and does not give any warranty (save for any warranty required to be given pursant to the Australian Consumer Law) with respect to the suitability of the furniture for the customers individual purposes. It is the customers responsibility to inspect the furniture on pickup or delivery to ensure that the furniture is free from defects and in good working order.

- For the avoidance of doubt, and given the nature of using recycled timber in furniture applications to colour and grades of timber used will only be considered defects if they funamentally affect the structural integrity of the product.

Recycled Creations SA do not accept returns or offer a refund or exchange for change of mind or incorrect items purchased.
